Why Anthony Martial has postponed contract talks at Man United

Anthony Martial has shelved contract talks with Manchester United until Jose Mourinho’s future is resolved.

The Portuguese sanctioned the sale of the French forward this summer, though the Red Devils resisted the opportunity to sell.

Instead, United are keen to tie the former Monaco forward down to a new deal to avoid losing him for nothing next summer.

With Mourinho under intense pressure though, Martial has opted to postpone contract talks, preferring to wait and see how the season unfolds, according to the Sun .

After being hauled off after an hour vs Brighton, Martial is reluctant to discuss a new deal while out of form and out of favour.
