The initial lineup for the upcoming Farm Aid 2018 event has been revealed. Farm Aid board members Neil Young, John Mellencamp, Willie Nelson, and Dave Matthews have all been confirmed.
They will be joined by Tim Reynolds, Chris Stapleton, Sturgill Simpson, Kacey Musgraves, Margo Price, Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats, Lukas Nelson & Promise of the Real, and Particle Kid. Additional performers are expected to be announced later this summer.
The festival will be held at the XFINITY Theatre in Hartford, Connecticut on Saturday, September 22. This marks the first time in the festival’s history that it will be held in Hartford.
Tickets will go on sale to the general public on Friday, June 29.
“Family farmers are the backbone of our country,” Willie Nelson said. “But today, they are endangered. Whether we live in cities like Hartford or the rural areas of New England, each of us has the power to create positive, lasting change in our farm and food system and strengthen farm families to help them stay on the land for generations to come.”
