The world may owe Chrissy Teigen an apology.
The supermodel and mom revealed on Twitter that everyone says her last name incorrectly.
“Word! Gave up a long time ago,” she tweeted at a fan about the matter on Sunday. “Last name is tie-gen not tee-gen.”
The 32-year-old star shared a video of the correct pronunciation for those who need additional help and even confirmed it with her mother, who was seen in the background.
A fan brought up the fact that Teigen says it wrong, too. “I even correct people when they say it correctly. It’s all v effed up,” Teigen quipped, before adding, “I don’t correct people, ever. They can call me Janet and I won’t. Wrong order? I’ll eat it. Taxi going to the wrong airport? I’ll change my flight.”
After that revelation and before signing off, John Legend’s wife also shared a video of a large bruise on her right leg.
She appeared a bit concerned as she plans on attending the Emmys on Monday night.
Legend, a newly minted EGOT winner, is up for an award for his lead performance in NBC’s “Jesus Christ Superstar in Concert.”
