Fashion Faceoff! John Mayer and Andy Cohen Twin in Matching Sherpa Sweatsuits
Andy Cohen and John Mayer's bromance has blossomed over the years, so it's no surprise to see the close friends wearing the same clothes — and giving us one epic fashion faceoff in the process.
It all started when the "New Light" musician, 43, shared a photo on Instagram in December wearing an oversize sherpa fleece Camp High sweatsuit set in a rustic canyon-inspired color palette. "In the long-legged shadows of the winter sun, may you find some joy where it seems there's none ♥️ @camphighcollective," Mayer captioned the photo.
Cohen must have loved his friend's look, because almost two months later, he sported the exact same hooded sweatshirt and joggers while on a walk with 23-month-old son Benjamin Allen in New York City.
"19 degrees out but I'm super Cozy courtesy @camphighcollective! (Mask went on after pic!)," the Bravo host wrote.
The Instagram account Comments by Celebs spotted a cheeky message that Mayer left on Cohen's post. "Well I think you look very handsome," the musician said. Cohen replied, "I was just thinking that about you."
One fan asked in the comments, "Who wore it better, Andy vs John?" Ultimately, the Watch What Happens Live! star admitted his friend won the style showdown.
"John. Always John," Cohen said.
Cohen and Mayer have been close friends for many years and even took a "bromantic" road trip to see the Grateful Dead's last live shows in 2015, which the late-night host detailed in an Entertainment Weekly article.
"John Mayer and I have what some would consider an unlikely friendship. He's one of our greatest living guitarists, and I'm regarded as the dude that stirs the s— on late-night TV," Cohen wrote of their friendship. "We do have one thing that bonds us: our love of the Grateful Dead. So when the band did five shows this summer — their last ever — we used their Santa Clara, California, gigs as an excuse to take a road trip and bro it up."
