I finally love the skin I'm in after shedding over 6st since joining WW
ELISIA Faria found her weight spiralling out of control two years after she gave birth to her third child.
The training manager from Rugby, Warks, developed bad habits and piled on the pounds.
Since joining WW in August 2019, Elisia has transformed her life, much to the joy of her husband Ed, and children Roy, 16, Ivan, 14 and ten-year-old Ana.
And while the difference in her appearance is striking, the biggest change for Elisia has been her new positive mindset.
Having lost over 6st, the 34-year-old is excited about being able to celebrate Christmas with her family, knowing that she has now found a sustainable way of keeping weight off.
She says: "I was totally out of control and had lost myself. Even though I wasn’t eating much during the day, I’d get home in the evening then eat as much as I could.
And before I went to bed I would have another sandwich or a couple of pieces of bread and butter.
I began to notice the negative effect on my children, and realised my daughter was following my example.
I was finding it difficult to walk, couldn’t sleep and had other issues, and after being unable to climb up after visiting Durdle Door with my Dad, I decided to join WW.
It’s not just about food, it’s about everything – especially your mindset.
I’ve learnt how important it is to switch off, to take the time to properly relax and refocus.
As a family we have really tried to increase our levels of activity, and now I walk much more and my daughter loves walking with me.
One of the best moments was Christmas last year, as I realised I could still enjoy the festive season and not have to miss out.
Sometimes you may go over-budget and put on a couple of pounds, but the great thing is I know I can get straight back into things and I’ll be fine again.
This change of mindset has transformed my life.
I love getting the chance to talk to people who are thinking of joining WW – the community is unlike any other. Everyone is so supportive and really helps and inspires each other.
Before WW I really didn’t like having my photo taken, but since I’ve lost weight I love myself again and love having my photo taken.
I’ve re-educated myself and my family on how to eat a healthy, balanced diet which has been such an amazing experience.
Even when I was smaller, I never really loved or accepted myself, but now I just love the skin I’m in. By learning to take care of myself, I have finally found 7 myself.
