Meghan Markle poses with Kate Middleton magazine cover in unearthed photo – two years before she met Prince Harry – The Sun

LONG before she met Prince Harry, Meghan Markle posed holding a magazine cover featuring her future sister-in-law Kate Middleton.

Royal fans uncovered the incredible photo from 2014 – which was even more eye-catching thanks to the headline stating Kate was incorrectly expecting “TWINS”.

The Duchess of Sussex, 38, who was an actress in Suits at the time, can be seen beaming as she proudly shows off Kate on the front of U Magazine next to the deputy editor.

Meghan had contributed to the magazine she was holding, and had shared inside how her favouite sunglasses were her Ray Ban aviators.

The photo was taken a few years before Meghan Markle starting dating Prince Harry in 2016, and little did she know that Kate was soon to become her sister-in-law.

Kate wasn’t expecting twins, however, and gave birth to her only daughter Princess Charlotte in May the following year.

In the same year as the magazine photo, Meghan also wrote about Kate on her now-defunct blog The Tig, and spoke about wanting to be a princess.

She said: "Grown women seem to retain this childhood fantasy. Just look at the pomp and circumstance surrounding the royal wedding and endless conversation about Princess Kate."

Despite a seemingly united front at Wimbledon this year, tensions are said to have been running high between the two duchesses, particularly with the split between their royal households.

Since she started dating Prince Harry, it has been claimed that Meghan made Kate cry over a dress fitting for Princess Charlotte, and caused an upset after she shouted at one of Kate’s household staff.

The then-Suits actress gave her thoughts on her future family back in 2014, a few years before she met Prince Harry.

She wrote: "Little girls dream of being princesses. I, for one, was all about She-Ra, Princess of Power.

"For those of you unfamiliar with the '80s cartoon reference, She-Ra is the twin sister of He-Man, and a sword-wielding royal rebel known for her strength. We're definitely not talking about Cinderella here.

"Grown women seem to retain this childhood fantasy. Just look at the pomp and circumstance surrounding the royal wedding and endless conversation about Princess Kate."

Meanwhile, royal expert Robert Jobson told the Daily Mail that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are understood to be waiting until Harry and Meghan return to Windsor before they head up to Scotland for their annual visit.

The expert claims Kate and William want to avoid Prince Harry after he said in wants "two kids, maximum" to save the planet.

He wrote: "The Duke of Sussex's latest 'woke' outburst, in which he declared that he and Meghan plan to have only two children 'maximum' in a bid to save the planet, may well have irked the Cambridges, who already have three."

The royal commentator also highlighted how Meghan may have rubbed her sister-in-law up the wrong way when she said she didn't want to appear "boastful" by appearing on the front cover of her VogueSeptember issue.

The palace has denied any tension between the pair, and royal writer Carolyn Durand claims the duchesses have “bonded over motherhood” and catch up regularly over text.

In more Royal Family news, Meghan Markle has spent a staggering £600,000 on jewellery over the past 18 months, including Princess Diana's £75,000 ring and £60,000 Cartier earrings.

And Meghan Markle had plans for her own charitable foundation focusing on women's issues before she married Prince Harry.

Plus Meghan Markle and Prince Harry moved away from Kate and William to "maximise their potential", an expert has claimed.
