Melania Trump: First lady stuns in Dolce & Gabbana as she welcomes White House Xmas tree

Melanie Trump is often referred to as the most stylish First Lady of America, and yesterday was no different as she was spotted at the doorstep of her home welcoming the annual White House Christmas Tree with husband, Donald Trump, in a stylish floral coat by Dolce & Gabbana and some killer red-sole stiletto boots.

First Lady, Melania Trump, was front-and-center yesterday for the arrival of the White House’s official Christmas tree.

As has been customary since 1966, the National Christmas Tree Association held a contest and this year’s winner from Pennsylvania’s Mahantongo Valley Farms.

The First Lady came down the front stairs of the White House to examine the tree, which was pulled up to the front door on a horse-drawn carriage.

She walked around the carriage to look at it and then wished bystanders a “Merry Christmas everyone.”

She also greeted the family of Larry Snyder of Mahantongo Valley Farms, who grew the 2019 White House Christmas Tree.

The First Lady was dressed for the occasion in a vibrant floral Dolce & Gabbana coat, an all-black ensemble and stiletto Christian Louboutin black boots.

The US First Lady wore a kimono-style over-coat by luxury fashion brand Dolce & Gabbana estimated to have cost well over $3,000 (£2,329) yesterday as she welcomed the White House Christmas tree.

The chic over-coat has a delicate design of red and white roses and it falls just under Melania’s knees.

The sleeves are wide and seem to fall short just above the wrists of the First Lady, which highlight her delicate hands and a single piece of jewellery she has chosen to wear for the occasion, platinum, diamond-encrusted band on her ring finger.

Although it is unclear as to what exact brands she had chosen to wear underneath the coat, an all-black ensemble of black skinny trousers and a black jumper had been expertly picked in order to show off the gorgeous design of the coat.

Going along with a theme of black and red, it was a clear choice that the only shoes to go with this ensemble would be a pair of killer Christian Louboutin stiletto boots, which are famous for their red-bottom-sole.

Melanie chose to keep her makeup glamorous with dark smokey eyeshadow, heavily lashed eyelashes, bronzed and highlighted cheeks and glossed lips.

Her highlighted brown locks sat just below her shoulder and were styled into loose waves.

Dolce & Gabbana is a fashion label that the First Lady is a clear fan of.

In June, she wore a white crepe custom Dolce & Gabbana dress with a navy border and a coordinating hat designed by her stylist Hervé Pierre for a meeting with Queen Elizabeth II in London.

In the past, she has also sported a suit from Dolce & Gabbana for her official White House portrait and a black buttoned-up coat from the Italian label with a black veil to meet Pope Francis two years ago.

She also notoriously wore a $51,500 (£39,997) floral Dolce & Gabbana coat for a trip to Sicily back in 2017.

Melanie took to her Instagram yesterday to post her excitement for the Christmas tree delivery.

She captioned a video of the arrival: “Special delivery! The @whitehouse is excited to welcome its #ChristmasTree for 2019.

“This beautiful tree was grown by the Snyder family from Mahantongo Valley Farms in Pitman, PA.

“We are excited to display this tree in the Blue Room of the People’s House!”

In another post, she added: “The @whitehouse #ChristmasTree2019 has been delivered, and we look forward to appreciating the peace and joy it signifies all throughout the holiday season! Thank you to the Snyder Family who brought us this tree, all the way from Pitman, PA.”

On the steps of the White House, Melania was joined by Vice President, Mike Pence and husband and President, Donald Trump, who addressed the gathering media.
