Mum breaks down in tears as viscous trolls rip apart her unique baby name as she slams them as cruel | The Sun

AN influencer mum has broken down in tears after unkind trolls tore into her choice of unique baby name.

Social media star Liana Jade slammed people for their comments about her baby son’s unusual moniker, as she branded them cruel.

Liana and her partner Connor Darlington welcomed their baby boy Koazy – pronounced ‘cosy’ – back in July 2022.

Since, Liana, who has a big YouTube following alongside Connor, has received several comments about Koazy’s name and why she chose it.

Most recently, the new mum heard about a conversation that fellow YouTubers Matt and Abby had surrounding baby names on The Unplanned Podcast.

While they didn’t mention Liana or Koazy specifically, they did have their say on unique baby names – with Abby saying that they “might not be the flex that [people] think it is” and could even be “a red flag”.

And it lead to countless comments from trolls who questioned Liana's baby's moniker.

Seemingly hitting back at similar critique, Liana posted a video on her TikTok account @lianajadee.

In the clip, she spoke directly to the camera as her emotions ran high.

Wiping away tears as she spoke, Liana admitted: “I don’t know if I’m going to post this video.

Insisting she had “no hate” towards Matt and Abby, Liana continued: “I know this is just their opinion but they posted a clip on their TikTok and their YouTube shorts that they pulled out of their podcast.

“They were talking about people naming their kids new, original names.

“They were saying how ridiculous some of these new, unique names were.”

As she continued to cry, Liana told her 8 million followers that she knew that her baby name choice wouldn’t be to everyone’s taste – but that there was no need for anyone to be rude about it.

It’s allowed people who didn’t like our baby name to just rip at it. It’s really upset me

She went on: “Basically, our baby is called Koazy, and I know it’s not everybody’s cup of tea, right?

“But people have kind of pulled our context and said that we called him Koazy because he was cosy in the womb. No, it was a name we already had.

“As I was getting so heavily pregnant, people were saying: ‘Oh he’s cosy in your belly.’

“And it kind of confirmed to us that’s what we should name him. Because we already had that name and people were saying it.

“It was almost like it was meant to be.”

Liana went on to say that she wasn’t “trying to name him for a flex” and that the reason she was so upset was because they had their comment section on – and trolls had attacked her choice.

She continued: “It’s allowed people who didn’t like our baby name to just rip at it. It’s really upset me.

“Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. But it’s just different when there’s this comment section open on such a big influencer’s video of people – fully grown adults – just sat there slandering my baby’s name.”

Since Liana posted the clip, it’s gone viral and Matt and Abby have now disabled the comment section of their podcast’s TikTok video.

Meanwhile, Liana’s social media followers have rallied around her for support.

One wrote: “I honestly don’t know how people can attack babies.

“I LOVE unusual names and I think Koazy is such an adorable name.”
