Paris Hilton X Boohoo: see the key trends and shop the coveted collection from just £8

The collection (starting from £8) has just dropped and we're official obsessed, so we're unpacking the inspo behind the key pieces and reminiscing about Paris's trademark trends.

There's no denying that Paris Hilton is so hot right now.

Before the days of social-media-kween Kim Kardashian, there was Paris Hilton. The Hilton heiress practically invented reality TV with The Simple Life and being famous for well, nothing. Kim K even assisted her as a stylist back in the day.

Fashion's fascination with all things noughties has been going strong for a few years now and Paris epitomises the era, having created most of the trends we associate with it.

Brands are tapping into her iconic status too – just three days ago the Hilton heiress walked in Plein Sports' SS19 show and has starred in numerous Moschino's campaigns in recent years.

  • Lamé dress, £20 from Boohoo – buy now

The Boohoo campaign is shot in a Beverly Hills mansion and it's a deliciously ironic dip into the 'It' girl's glam life.

So, basically, Paris dripping in diamantes, strutting around in stilettos, gossiping on a pink Motorola razor, clasping her chiwawa and…barbecuing in a lamé bodysuit.

That feeling carries through to the collection where there are are pink PVC visors, slogan tees, snakeskin swimsuits and palm-print gowns reminiscent of that plunging Versace number JLo wore to the Grammys in 2000.

But, the pieces we love the most are the true Paris trademarks: velour tracksuits, trucker caps, chainmail halter tops and crystal chokers – scroll down to shop the collection and read the tale behind every trend.

Chainmail

  • Chainmail crop top, £20 from Boohoo – buy now
  • Tracksuit pants, £25 from Boohoo – buy now

Cowl neck, halter and barely-there backless – who could forget the shimmering chainmail dress that Paris wore to her 21st birthday?

Kendall Jenner referenced the look in 2016 and soon we were plunged into a full-blown revival of the trend.

This iridescent metal mesh fabric was introduced as 'Oroton' by Gianni Versace in the 1980s.

We want one of these halter tops in every colour.

Trucker caps

  • Printed hoodie, £16 from Boohoo – buy now
  • Embellished bodysuit, £10 from Boohoo – buy now

Back in the noughties, you would often open a gossip magazine and expect to see sightings of Paris Hilton or Britney Spears, sipping on iced lattes in low-slung jeans and trucker caps (usually by Ed Hardy).

Fast forward twenty years, and Paris is rocking hers yet again.

But, with a pink Motorola Razr in one hand and a chiwawa in the other, we feel like it was just yesterday.

Tracksuits

  • Tracksuit jacket, £25 from Boohoo – buy now
  • Tracksuit pants, £25 from Boohoo – buy now

Yet another trend Paris Hilton popularised is the tracksuit.

Shaking away its sporty connotations, she rocked colourful velour versions embellished with the word 'Juicy' across the derriere.

Vetements revived this trend by collaborating with Juicy Couture for AW16 (Kylie Jenner was a fan), but no one does it quite like Paris.

Out of all the Boohoo X Paris Hilton tracksuits, this has to be our favourite: made from baby-pink velour, it's printed all-over with the words 'That's Hot' and has sparkling crystal trims.

'That's Hot'

  • Embellished swimsuit, £10 from Boohoo – buy now

Yes, that's right, our favourite heiress actually trademarked this phrase back in 2005 and has won subsequent lawsuits concerning its use.

Every time we hear it, we remember the good old days of The Simple Life, where the only words Paris ever seemed to utter – in her nonchalant, Los Angeles drawl – were, 'That's Hot'.

Now, they're embellished onto this hot-pink swimsuit in crystals – combined with a sporty square neckline and high-cut legs, it has all the noughties vibes.

Pair it with pink shades and a choker, obvs.

Paris isn't the only noughties icon making a come back.

Truffle Shuffle have just release these Groovy Chic tops and they're giving us serious nostalgia.
