Prince William is pigging out on chocolate during lockdown – while Prince George is binge-watching Blue Planet

KATE Middleton has revealed that Prince William has been eating all of their Easter chocolate supplies. 

The Duchess of Cambridge, 38, spoke of her husband’s snacking habits during a surprise video call to kids whose parents are on the frontline of the coronavirus pandemic.

Kate also spilled details on how her family would be spending the bank holiday, and said Prince George, six, is likely to be glued to watching David Attenborough's Blue Planet. 

Kate said the young prince had been watching “lots of” the nature show, while William added of the weekend that “there’ll be a lot of chocolate being eaten.”

Kate then joked: “You keep eating it.”

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge spoke to kids at the Casterton Primary Academy in Lancashire yesterday via video link- much to the surprise of staff and pupils. 

They spent an hour chatting to the delighted pupils, some of whom were in bunny ears, and Prince William, 37, praised the "good northern volunteering spirit" of their teachers.

The kids showed off photos of their parents who are working hard during the coronavirus outbreak, and also proudly revealed the Easter bonnets and bunny ears they had made. 

The youngsters also put some challenging questions to the royal parents, including asking them the “best famous person was that they had met".

Kate spoke of Blue Planet being her oldest son’s favourite TV show when she answered “Sir David”, and Prince William diplomatically said his favourite people weren’t actually famous. 

The Lancashire school is one of many around the country that has remained open so key workers and NHS staff with children can get to work during the coronavirus crisis.

The Duchess said: "To you and everyone who is in during this time, it must be such a relief for all the parents who are key workers to know that the normality is there for their children, they've really got the structure and they’ve got a safe place for them to be.

"So really, really well done and for all of you I know it’s not easy circumstances, but it’s fantastic."

Pupils showed them portraits of their parents.

Kate told a boy of ten he should be “very proud” of his mum, who works for the NHS.

Wills told another at Casterton Primary Academy, next to Burnley General Hospital, his dad’s bakery job was “very important too”.Kate and Wills are carrying out virtual visits via video link after stringent rules on non-essential travel due to the coronavirus crisis.
