Mary Berry asks Kate Middleton to 'squirt on her cake' during A Berry Royal Christmas… and viewers get the giggles

Viewers had a serious case of the giggles this evening, after the nation sat down to watch Kate Middleton and Prince William appear on Mary Berry's A Berry Royal Christmas.

Fans couldn't contain themselves after baking queen Mary asked FUTURE Queen Kate to "squirt on her cake" during the show.

The former Great British Bake Off judge teamed up with the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge for a one-off show, A Berry Royal Christmas which aired tonight on BBC One.

And during the show, 84-year-old Mary asked Kate to help decorate some cup cakes. Holding out a piping bag filled with cream cheese icing, Mary asked: "Do you want to have a squirt on a cake?"

Kate Middleton and Prince William will take George, Charlotte and Louis skiing in the new year

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are planning to take their three kids skiing after spending Christmas with the Queen at Sandringham, a source has claimed.

The insider said that Kate Middleton, 37, has been eyeing up some ski outfits for her brood before they hit the slopes.

Prince George and Princess Charlotte will make their first public Christmas outing this year, The Sun can reveal.

George, six, and Charlotte, four, will walk with their parents William and Kate to church on Christmas Day.

A royal source said: “It will be so sweet. George and Charlotte will make their Christmas debut, as long as they’re both on good form on the day.

“It’s the picture all royal fans want to see. The royals walking to church on Christmas Day is a rite of passage and so William and Kate didn’t want to expose their children too early, but they feel they’re old enough now."

Charles sparks debate after its revealed he adds milk to his tea last

It is a controversial British topic – but the debate about whether you should add milk to tea first or last has been sparked once more by none other than the future king.

Prince Charles, 71, enjoys his cuppa made in a very specific way, according to the hospitality manager at the Scottish mansion where royal butlers are trained.

The rules taught at the 18th-century stately home in Ayrshire, which was given £20m grant from Prince Charles’ Charitable Fund in 2007, include sweetening tea with honey rather than sugar, and adding milk last.

Only once the tea has been poured can you add milk, presented in a small jug.

Prince Andrew attends Buckingham Palace Christmas party alongside Queen & Prince Charles after being stripped of royal duties

Prince Andrew has made a surprise appearance at the Queen’s annual Christmas party held for her staff at Buckingham Palace.

The Duke of York, 59, was pictured arriving tonight at the soiree, following being “sacked” from royal duties in November.

Prince Andrew, who has denied any wrongdoing, has joined the Queen and other senior royals today at the bash held for around 400 staff members each year.

Royal expert Phil Dampier said his attendance at the traditional event is proof that the Queen’s “favourite son” is being rallied around by members of the family.

Speaking to Fabulous Digital, he said: “The fact that Andrew has turned up to this Christmas event at Buckingham Palace today shows that he is being supported by the rest of the royal family."
