10 books on non-fiction long list for 2018 National Book Awards

The National Book Foundation has announced the long list of 10 books for the 2018 National Book Award for non-fiction. Finalists will be revealed on Oct. 10.

The nominees:

Marwan Hisham and Molly Crabapple, “Brothers of the Gun: A Memoir of the Syrian War” (One World)

Victoria Johnson, “American Eden: David Hosack, Botany, and Medicine in the Garden of the Early Republic” (Liveright)
