Aldi is selling heatable car seat covers for a bargain price

Some cars have built-in heated seat warmers but you'll have to pay a premium on the price of your car for the luxury.

Now, the discounter is making your commute to work during winter toasty and warm for a bargain price.

The Auto XS Grey Heatable Car Seat Pad comes with two heat settings – high and low – that can be adjusted using a sliding switch.

It's powered by plugging it into the cigarette lighter, so only one person – either the driver or the passenger – will be able to use the pad at a time.

They only come in one size and are suitable for all car types, including ones with side airbags.

They will also automatically switch off when the temperature reaches 55 degrees but turn on again if it cools down to anything below 45 degrees.

Other retailers stock similar heated seat covers, but the next cheapest one we could find was from Argos for £19.99.

That means you're saving at least £9 by buying the one from Aldi.

You can buy the pads in store or online – although stocks are already low if you're ordering from the website.

Shoppers who buy the gadget online will need to fork out for delivery charges, which range from £2.95 for standard to £3.95 to get it the next day.

Of course, you'll need to get in there quick because the seat covers went on sale on October 18 and they're a Specialbuy, which means once they're gone, they're gone.

Aldi often stocks tech products as Specialbuys but they're not always the cheapest on the market as one gran found out after a drone she bought from the discounter flew away the first time she used it.

We'll let you in on a bit of a secret – the best days to make sure you get first dibs on the goods is to shop at the discounter on Thursdays and Sundays.

This is because the bargain supermarket drops a new batch of Specialbuys on these two days every week – once before the weekend kicks in and once to start the week.
