Aldi releases a glitter globe gin costing £4 less than M&S’ posh liqueur

As far as drinks go, gin remains one of the most popular serving suggestions.

With warmer weather on the horizon and more freedom outdoors for Brits in the coming weeks – we can’t see the gin momentum slowing down any time soon.

Those keen to brush up on their mixology skills are in for a treat, as budget supermarket Aldi have just launched a Glitter Globe Peach & Elderflower Gin Liqueur, landing on Specialbuy shelves near you from April 22.

The limited edition tipple retails for £13.99 for a 70cl bottle and comes complete with edible 23-carat gold leaf, boasting the glittery look and the great taste to match.

Housed in a beautiful bottle, not only will it impress guests around the garden table with that extra hint of glitz, but it will also save shoppers over 13% compared to Marks and Spencer's Cherry Blossom Glitter Globe Gin Liqueur, which costs £17.

The new addition will sit alongside a host of new summery tipples as part of Aldi’s exciting April Spirits Festival range, most of the range is available to shop online and will be in stores from April 22.

Shoppers will need to get in there quick though, as with all Specialbuys – once it’s gone it’s gone.

Joining Aldi’s already popular Infusionist range, this snow globe bottle will inspire shoppers to 'go for gold' and indulge on a tasty gin liqueur infused with sweet peach and elderflower – ideal for a refreshing Bank Holiday tipple or a palette cleanse before a meal.

All that’s left to do is shake to wake the flecks of 23-carat gold leaf. Enjoy neat over ice, or mixed up into a delicious cocktail for sharing.

It's worth checking out some of the other new releases from Marks and Spencer, alongside its new glitter globe gin, the retailer also has new Colin the Caterpillar Cake Jars and Mini Chocolate biscuits.
