This Halloween, The Weeknd and Bella Hadid dressed up as Beetlejuice and Lydia Deetz, the spooky central characters played by Michael Keaton and Winona Ryder in Tim Burton’s 1988 film.
To channel the comedy classic’s titular ghost in wedding mode, the “Starboy” singer, 28, donned a hair-raising green wig and gobs of white face paint, documenting the laborious costume prep on his Instagram Stories.
Meanwhile, 22-year-old Hadid transformed into Beetlejuice’s bride in a custom ruffled red gown by Sylvio NYC, a black wig with spiked bangs and some truly creepy (and costly) jewelry, including a $7,200 diamond snake ring and matching beetle bauble by Colette Jewelry.
The model finished her look with black combat boots and a bouquet of blood-red roses, and partied the night away at Heidi Klum’s Halloween party at Lavo — where, according to an eyewitness, her and The Weeknd’s spot-on couples costumes almost caused a photographer stampede on the red carpet.
