Café creates insane Christmas drink using a whole Terry’s Chocolate Orange

Christmas is the most wonderful time of year, not only because of all the sparkling lights and decorations, but because you can indulge yourself in some extra fabulous food.

From decadent puddings to pigs in blankets, anything goes over the festive period.

And one coffee shop in Wales has taken this to the next level and created a winter beverage that has left us salivating over our computer screens.

The Coffee Pot in Abergavenny has combined two of our favourite things to create the ultimate hot chocolate, reports WalesOnline.

The café, owned by Bryan Harris and Laura Masson, is known for making luxury hot drinks, but their latest features a whole Terry’s Chocolate Orange.

Staff at the business shared a video of the beverage being prepared on Facebook and it’s already amassed four million views – it’s that good!

In the video viewers can see a mug filled with an entire chocolate orange, this is then covered with hot chocolate and topped with whipped cream, chocolate sauce, chocolate powder and mini segments of chocolate orange.

The whole thing costs £4.99 per mug at The Coffee Pot.

Mr Harris said their hot chocolates have recently been going "absolutely crazy".

He said: "We just try to come up with different ideas as there are so many coffee shops in Abergavenny you need something to stand out.

"My partner Laura came up with the ideas and we put them up online and they went absolutely crazy."

As well as the Terry’s hot chocolate, the pair also make a hot chocolate using a whole chocolate Santa Claus, which they say is also a big hit with customers.

"We’ve done a Santa-themed one, an Easter one and the Terry’s one took off straight away," added Mr Harris.

"The Easter eggs went global and people rang us to find out where the coffee shop was and drove from Scotland to come for it."
