Cindy Crawford breaks down her $500 beauty routine

Cindy Crawford is all about keeping it simple.

While she may be one of the most legendary faces in fashion, when it comes to her everyday beauty routine, the model told Vogue that it’s all about “getting skincare on and getting out the door as fast as I can.”

In a new video breaking down her regimen, the ’90s icon began by washing her face, followed by an application of her skincare company Meaningful Beauty‘s Youth Activating Melon Serum ($76), Lifting Eye Creme ($46) and Antioxidant Day Creme ($40). She also revealed her secret to de-puffing eyes after a late night out: Allegra Baby Magic Globes ($32), which she leaves resting in ice water until she’s ready to eradicate those under-eye bags.

Crawford said that growing up, she never saw her mom wearing any makeup, so she “knew zero about makeup or skincare” when she began modeling. But after watching her catwalking contemporaries backstage and picking up tips and tricks from makeup artists along the way, the model learned to master her “basic face,” because “you want to have your simple routine that you know you’re going to feel good in case you run into someone you went to high school with.”

She starts By Terry Light-Expert Click Brush Liquid Foundation ($58), using Amazing Cosmetics Amazing Concealer ($32) for any under-eye darkness before switching to Nars concealer ($26) to tackle discoloration or little spots on the rest of her face. She then sets everything with Chanel Les Beiges Healthy Glow powder ($58).

Using the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Definer ($23) to define her arches, the cover girl explained, “Thank god I did not over-tweeze my brows when I was young, because I still have pretty good brows … One of my lessons that I’ve said to [my daughter] Kaia, I’m like, don’t over-tweeze your eyebrows! You will regret it later. Fortunately, that bushier look is in now, so she hasn’t been tempted yet.”

For her everyday eye, Crawford brushes a brown shade from Charlotte Tilbury’s Luxury Eyeshadow Palette ($53) across both lids, adding a swipe of Maybelline Lash Stiletto Mascara ($8.95) across the top lashes only.

The catwalk star finishes things off by adding a little color, using Josie Maran Argan Color Stick ($26.99) for blush and Charlotte Tilbury Superstar Lips lipstick ($34). “I like the lip that looks like you bit it and you just have a little extra color,” she explained.

Crawford said she’s using less and less makeup as she ages, which makes her skincare routine all the more important “because you’re not covering it up with makeup.” And while she confessed her husband Randy Gerber hates makeup altogether, she’s pointed out to him that “women do makeup for other women, not men.”
