Did the New Tell-All Book Cause Meghan Markle to Change Her Birthday Plans?
Prince Harry and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex have been having a hard time adjusting to their new lives in LA. Though Meghan is back in her home state, things are much different now, and with the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic still raging in the U.S., she can’t even see her family and friends like she would like to.
As Meghan’s birthday has been getting closer, the couple had already found a safe way to celebrate with a small group. But now that a new book about the Sussexes is coming out, their plans may change.
What does the biography reveal?
Finding Freedom: Harry, Meghan and the Making of a Modern Royal Family, written by royal experts Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand, gives an in-depth look at the Sussexes life, relationship, and what led to them stepping back from the royal family. However, the Duke and Duchess did not give their input for the book.
The book reveals intimate details of the couple’s relationship that the media hasn’t been privy to in the past, like just how fast their relationship moved.
“Three months into their relationship, a Meghan friend said, they had already begun swapping the words ‘I love you,’” an excerpt obtained by Entertainment Tonight reads. “It was Harry who said it first, but Meghan immediately replied, ‘I love you, too.’ From there it didn’t take long for them to begin talking in non-oblique terms about their future. While Harry and Meghan kept a low profile, the prince’s presence could not go unnoticed in her neighbourhood. It didn’t take long for Harry’s visits to become an open secret among the residents.”

As President and Vice President of The @Queens_Commonwealth_Trust, The Duke and Duchess thank all those who are working to give access to education for all.
It also covers how the tension between Harry and his brother Prince William intensified when Meghan came into the picture and the fallout from their decision not to be working royals.
Are Meghan and Harry changing her birthday plans?
The book doesn’t come out until Aug.11, but several outlets have already published portions of it. According to sources, the royal couple isn’t paying the fanfare of the book any mind and are planning on celebrating Meghan’s birthday with just the two of them, their son Archie, and Meghan’s mother Doria Ragland.
“She won’t be having any big party,” the source told HollywoodLife. “She doesn’t normally throw herself birthday parties but with all that’s happening, it’s not even a consideration for this year. One thing she will absolutely do though is lend her support to some special causes in honor of her birthday. That is something that has been a tradition of hers even before she was famous. It’s something she learned from her mom.”
Despite all of the drama surrounding her and Harry, Meghan is excited to be able to spend a birthday with her mother.

“Meghan’s incredibly close to her mom but it’s been years and years since they lived in the same city so Meghan is taking full advantage of spending time with her,” the source continued. “Her mom is the only other person Meghan is spending time with regularly and she has been a huge support for both her and Harry.”
