Lady Amelia Windsor commanded attention with her daring tattoo at the Serpentine Summer Party last night – but she’s not the first royal to display their inkings.
Several European royals – including Princess Sofia of Sweden and Princess Stephanie of Monaco – have long been proudly displaying their tattoos across the channel.
Crown Prince Frederick of Denmark, who is heir to the throne, has also shown off the shark tattoo on his calf and a second tattoo on his arm.
However, Amelia, 22, is the first member of the British royal family to show off her inkings in public.

The Swedish royal also has a discreet tattoo on her ankle, but is reported to have had a tattoo on her arm removed following her engagement to Carl Philip, 39.

Meanwhile, Princess Stephanie, 53, has also frequently put her tattoos on display over the years – including a dragon inking on her back.
The Monaco royal also has a floral tattoo on her wrist, as well as two jumping dolphins on her ankle.

Prince Frederick of Denmark, 50, also has a couple of tattoos, regularly showing off the shark tattoo on his leg.
He also showed off a second tattoo on his arm, while on the beach with wife Crown Princess Mary and their children in 2015.
It comes as Lady Amelia Windsor proudly displayed her delicate tattoo on the side of her rib while at the Serpentine Summer Party in London last night.
The model also showed off the outline of three animals on her arm as she arrived at the glitzy bash in a pink mini dress by Chanel.

The granddaughter of the Duke and Duchess of Kent has previously shown off a tiger tattoo on her back, displaying a glimpse of the inking last night.
Lady Amelia is believed to be the only member of the current British royal family to have a tattoo.
Grant Harrold, who is known as The Royal Butler, told FEMAIL: ‘Senior members of the Royal Family have never shown tattoos off and it is most unlikely that they even have them.
‘These are choices that the likes of the Duchess of Cambridge and the Duchess of Sussex will not even consider due to their ever increasing public profiles, which mirror the Royal Family on a daily basis.’

He added: ‘Lady Amelia Windsor is not a senior royal or a princess.
‘As we know she is not even in the top 30 in line to the throne, so she will be aware that she can get away with personal choices such as tattoos or modelling for international fashion houses.’
While no other members of the current royal family are thought to have permanent tattoos, the Duchess of Cambridge got a Henna tattoo during a visit to Sunderland earlier this year.
Meanwhile, previous British royals have had tattoos in the past, including King Edward VII and King George V, who both had a Jerusalem cross tattoo.
