How to Watch the 2021 Grammy Awards
The 2021 Grammy Awards will air Sunday at 8 p.m. ET/ 5 p.m. PT on CBS and Paramount Plus.
Festivities officially begin at 3 p.m. ET/ noon PT for the 63rd Grammy Awards Premiere Ceremony, where over 70 Grammys will be awarded. It will feature performances from a number of this year’s nominees, including Burna Boy, Terri Lyne, Carrington + Social Science, Jimmy “Duck” Holmes, Igor Levit, Lido Pimienta, Poppy and Rufus Wainwright. Hosted by Jhene Aiko, the ceremony will be available on Grammy.com and the Recording Academy’s YouTube channel. The pre-show will immediately follow at 7:30 p.m. ET/ 3:30 p.m. PT, providing red carpet coverage and interviews, and will be on Grammy.com and Facebook Live.
Trevor Noah will host the primetime ceremony and have more than just star power support. To honor independent music venues, its workers— from New York’s Apollo Theater, Nashville’s Station Inn and Los Angeles’ Troubadour and Hotel Café — will present awards throughout the evening.
As many pass the one-year mark of no live music, viewers can tune in to watch performances from the industry’s biggest artists. Whether looking for a polished pop spectacle or a stripped-down serenade, the lineup caters to music fans all along the music spectrum. The show will feature Bad Bunny, Black Pumas, Cardi B, BTS, Brandi Carlile, DaBaby, Doja Cat, Billie Eilish, Mickey Guyton Haim, Brittany Howard, Miranda Lambert, Lil Baby, Dua Lipa, Chris Martin, John Mayer, Megan Thee Stallion, Maren Morris, Post Malone, Roddy Rich, Harry Styles and Taylor Swift. Instead of the usual Staples Center, the ceremony will broadcast from the Los Angeles Convention Center. It will air again for West Coast viewers at about 8:30 p.m. PT after the live broadcast ends.
The Grammys were initially set to kick off awards season on Jan. 31, but rescheduled due to the dire state of Los Angeles at the time. Reeling from the COVID-19 winter surge, approximately 200 people were dying each day the week of the Jan. 5 announcement.
