I could go without sex for the rest of my life though I’m 35 & my partner is 37 – The Sun

DEAR DEIDRE: I LOVE my partner a lot and he’s my kids’ dad – but my libido has died.

If I’m honest, I feel I could go without sex for the rest of my life – though I’m only 35 and he’s 37.

My partner had the snip after our youngest was born – his decision, but it means I’ve no contraception worries.

When we’re in bed and my partner says, “Give us a kiss!” I tense up because I know sex is coming.

Once we start, I enjoy it – but it’s the thought of it that just makes me switch off.

DEIDRE SAYS: If you like sex once you’re going, that suggests it’s not a technique issue.

Maybe your libido loss relates to your partner’s vasectomy.

For some women, sexual interest is closely tied to them feeling they are at least potentially making babies.

If you have mixed feelings about the vasectomy, share them with your partner.

Also, my e-leaflet Sex-play Therapy may help.
