Kim Kardashian Keeps Her Billions, Kanye Refuses To Seek Spousal Support

Kim Kardashian doesn’t need to worry about her billions because Kanye West is not seeking spousal support amid their ongoing divorce battle.

Two months ago, the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star officially filed for divorce from her husband of seven years. However, it is only now that Kanye West responded to her request with his own divorce filing.

According to People, Yeezy is seeking joint custody of his kids, North, 7, Saint, 5, Chicago, 3, and Psalm, 1 with Kardashian. The rapper is also asking the court to terminate his and his ex-wife’s right to seek spousal support from each other.

Kardashian and West have just been declared billionaires by Forbes. However, the “Runaway” singer is reportedly richer than the reality TV star.

West is reportedly worth $1.8 billion, while Kardashian is worth $1 billion. The latter’s net worth comes from her cosmetics company, KKW Beauty, and shapewear brand, SKIMS.

Last October, Forbes revealed that Kardashian’s net worth was just $780 million. But there was a spike in her wealth because of the number of sales her two companies received over the last six months.

As for West, the rapper was previously named as the richest black man in America with his $6.6 billion net worth. However, Forbes quickly denied the claims by saying that West is just worth roughly around $1.8 billion.

Last year, the publication estimated West’s net worth at $1.3 billion, which means the rapper also became richer after less than a year.

A huge chunk of his net worth comes from his music career, as well as his sneaker brand, Yeezy.

Meanwhile, Kardashian and West get to keep their billions to themselves because they signed a prenup before they tied the knot in 2014.

However, their prenup initially stated that Kardashian would receive $1 million for every year she’s married to West. But this is capped until their 10th year of marriage. Additionally, there is also no custody clause for their four children in the event of a divorce.

“The entire process for the prenup for Kim and Kanye has been extremely easy, and relatively drama-free. Kanye didn’t even think the couple needed a prenup and was ready to give Kim carte blanche to all of his financial assets. Yes, he loves Kim that much. There is a huge difference from Kim’s prenup with Kris Humphries… The preparation of their agreement went on for several months. It was long and tedious,” a source for Radar Online said (via Style Caster).
