Hanks, Hulu!
The streaming service announced Thursday that it has acquired the rights to stream all 13 seasons of the Fox animated comedy series “King of the Hill.”
The Texas-set sitcom aired from 1997 to 2010 and centered on the dysfunctional Hill family of Arlen, Texas — Hank (Mike Judge), Peggy (Kathy Najimy), Bobby (Pamela Adlon) and Luanne (Brittany Murphy).
While it never quite reached the pop-cultural highs of “The Simpsons” or “South Park,” Mike Judge’s show was a consistent performer for Fox during the ’90s and aughts.
“King of the Hill” hasn’t appeared on any streaming service since 2013.
The show coming to Hulu was part of a broader deal with 20th Century Fox that also brought on episodes of “American Dad,” “Family Guy,” “Bob’s Burgers,” “Futurama” and “The Cleveland Show.”
