Online posts provide chilling insight into ‘Incel’ movement
Online forum provides chilling insight into women-hating ‘Incel’ movement blamed for inspiring a string of violent sprees
- So-called Incel movement has been linked to a recent spate of violent killings
- Women-hating men are increasingly ranting about the opposite sex online
- Disturbing discussions including fantasies about hurting pregnant women
- One fantasises about pushing pregnant women downstairs and ‘killing her baby’
- Others vow to wreak ‘revenge’ on women who have rejected them sexually
These shocking online posts uncovered by MailOnline reveal how co-called ‘Incels’ are using dark corners of the internet to air their twisted views on women – openly condoning rape, assault and even murder.
Incels (short for ‘involuntary celibates’) belong to a growing subculture of sexually inactive men who resent women and have been linked to a recent spree of mass murders.
Sites like Reddit, 4Chan and Tumblr are increasingly being used as a platform for individuals to peddle their disturbing views, despite being linked to violence and misogyny.
In one recent discussion – entitled ‘women are vile, wicked, degraded creatures incapable of love’ – one man vows to wreak ‘revenge’ on the women who have rejected him.
In another shocking admission, which is too graphic to publish, one Incel brags about raping women in the past, and his desire to do so again after being insulted by a female acquaintance.
Psychotherapist Noel McDermott tells MailOnline he believes Incel communities are down to a ‘backlash’ to shifting gender roles in society, with questions surrounding masculinity fuelling their insecurity.
‘There has also been a huge rise in objectification of women online and in extreme and violent pornography,’ he said.
‘These young men are usually loners, deemed as not very successful and for them the use of force and violence improves their own sense of self.’

Posting anonymously, men are free to openly make rape and death threats against women, with authorities often powerless to intervene.
The movement is believed to have partly inspired the recent Toronto attack where 10 pedestrians were mowed down in a violent rampage, allegedly by 25-year-old Alek Minassian.
It has also been linked to the 2014 Santa Barbara shooting that saw Elliot Rodger – who appears to have been idolised by Minassian – gun down six innocent people, among them two sorority girls, in a sickening killing spree.
Despite sites like Reddit clamping down on content that incites hatred and violence, these posts reveal how easy it is for users, protected by anonymity, to air their beliefs.
And there remains a spate of other groups dedicated to Incel culture which often reveal a violent streak among their users.
Members of the community are free to publish disturbing, expletive-filled rants – one being that pregnant women ‘deserve to fall down a flight of stairs and lose their baby’ – safe in the knowledge that they are unlikely to be caught or prosecuted.

Terrifying: One man doles out ‘advice’ on women, suggesting they will ‘quickly leave you’ if you treat them with kindness
In one top-rated post, one woman claims to have landed a job at a high school and threatens to harass one of the ‘young femoids’
In this graphic post, one man talks about ‘despising’ pregnant women and says they ‘deserve to fall down a flight of stairs and lose their baby’ – but insists the pain ‘wouldn’t come close to our pain’
In another discussion, one man openly fantasises about sexually assaulting a woman and envisages the ‘blood dripping down her chin’.
One online thread goes as far as denouncing women’s liberation, blaming it for a rise in female depression – and arguing that women would ‘be happier in a patriarchal society’.
Some individuals post photos of women who have spurned their advances and invite fellow Redditors to ‘rate’ them – while bemoaning the ‘bad genes’ and ‘subhuman features’ they blame for sabotaging their own love lives.
Terrifyingly, one man claimed to have secured a job working in a high school and warned he was likely to ‘harass a young femoid’.
Here, one social media user questions the point of having sex with a woman. A fellow user replied: ‘Because she will be forced to’
This Redditor posted a picture of a woman who had ‘friendzoned’ him, labelling her as ‘subhuman’ and invited fellow men to insult her based on her looks
This man calls himself a ‘former redeeming incel’ and invites the online community to ask him about his experience
Another user, going by the name ‘UnfitForReproduction’, posted a picture of a female friend – seemingly without her knowledge – and invited users to attack her based on her appearance after she ‘friendzoned’ him.
Describing her as ‘subhuman’, he wrote: ‘She just saw me as a joke [to be honest]. I asked her out, we went out, I made a move on her, she said she sees me as a friend.’
He went on to speak of his disgust that ‘an aspie’ [Asperger’s] girl with a long midface will reproduce and her s***ty genes will be passed on.’
Commenting on the growing trend, psychotherapist Noel McDermott added: ‘Many of these young men come from highly dysfunctional backgrounds, where they witnessed violence at home especially towards their mothers,’ he said. ‘Some may have experienced rape within their home.

‘They have grown up with negative modelling of men and women at home, and psychological damage in the nurturing of these young men plays a massive contribution to who they are now.’
According to Noel, the solution lies in helping individuals integrate into the community, and becoming more ‘tolerant’ of young men.
‘We must help with the integration of these young men into communal structures,’ he said.
‘As a culture we have to accept diversity, become more tolerant of young men and accept that that we no longer live in a world where things are simple for men.
‘The more we enforce this the more they will try to find black and white solutions and this will push them into extremes.’

What is an Incel?
‘Incel’ stands for ‘involuntary celibate’ and is a term used by a certain group of men who blame their inability to form relationships and have sex on women.
Incel groups have been accused of inciting violence and misogyny online and numerous communities and subreddits have been banned over their content.
A cryptic Facebook message posted by Toronto suspect Alek Minassian just before the incident suggested he was part of an online community angry over their inability to form relationships with the opposite sex.
The now-deleted post saluted Elliot Rodger, a community college student who killed six people and wounded 13 in shooting and stabbing attacks near the University of California, Santa Barbara, in 2014.
In 2014, Elliot Rodger killed six people and wounded 13 in shooting and stabbing attacks near the University of California, Santa Barbara
Calling Rodger ‘the Supreme Gentleman’, the Facebook post declared: ‘The Incel Rebellion has already begun! We will overthrow all the Chads and Stacys!’
Chads and Stacys are names used in internet forums to denote people with more active sexual lives.
The reference to the term ‘incel’, meaning involuntarily celibate, was a term used by Rodger in online posts raging at women for rejecting him romantically.
The anti-women sentiment also recalled Canada’s 1989 massacre at the Ecole Polytechnique, an engineering college in Montreal, when 25-year-old Marc Lepine entered a classroom.
He then separated the men from the women, told the men to leave and opened fire, killing 14 women before killing himself.
In a suicide note, he blamed feminists for ruining his life.
