Models get VERY close to wolves, bears and even a white tiger in the depths of a Russian forest for an ethereal photo shoot
- Photographer, Olga Barantseva, shot pictures of models with tigers and wolves
- The animals are tame and the bear, Stepan was adopted by a couple as a cub
- Shoot took place in a forest outside Moscow making for ethereal images
A group of daring models have bravely posed with bears, tigers and wolves to create stunning scenes inspired by the pages of Russian fairytales.
The enchanting snaps show the women cuddling up to the fearsome animals – petting wolves beneath their chins and – in one startling image – lounging against a mighty white tiger.
In keeping with the storybook theme, the pictures were taken deep in a forest just outside Moscow.
They were shot by photographer Olga Barantseva, who insists that despite the apparently dangerous set ups, there was no Photoshopping involved in the creative process.

The animals photographed are tame, and Olga – who took up photography in 2007 – has been shooting pictures with fearsome predators since 2012.
The bear, Stepan, a 50-stone grizzly, was adopted by a Russian couple when he was just three months old, Olga explained.
In fact, he is so tame that he watches television with his adoptive parents and often poses for Olga during photo shoots.
Explaining the inspiration behind her jaw-dropping shoot, Olga said: ‘I’ve always had this idea of photographing people together with the animals and a couple years ago I saw a TV show about Stepan.

‘I contacted his owners Svetlana and Yuriy Panteleenko who adopted the bear when he was just three months old and did my first photoshoot with him.
‘This time I decided that shooting with other animals might be interesting, so I started searching for other animals online to picture such as wolves and foxes.
‘I am trying to shoot scenes from popular Russian fairy tales as most of them have animals as their main characters.’
