Primark is making big changes to its website.

The budget retailer will allow customers to browse through what’s in stock before they head out to their local shops.

At the moment, shoppers can only look through a small snippet of what's on offer.

They also don't get any information about availability on the website currently.

So the update should hopefully prevent disappointment when customers are looking for items in store.

In its latest trading update released today, a spokesperson said: "The improved functionality of the website will allow us to showcase a much larger proportion of the Primark range and provide to customers range availability by store."

The new features of the Primark website aren't expected to roll out until 2022.

And sadly, delivery options won't be available for customers when the site launch happens.

Many have called for the retailer to provide online shopping services – but this won't be included in the new update.

Even though it hasn't moved operations online, Primark has had a successful year.

According to the retailer, revenue has soared by 207% in comparison to the same time in the previous year, when it was around £600million.

Some of the best-selling items of the year include summery clothes and accessories.

Primark's focus on digital advertising has helped items to fly off shelves.

A spokesperson said: "There has been a strong response to our two hero womenswear ranges for spring/summer, Joyful Gelato and Garden Party, with the pink gingham and purple blazers selling out within weeks supported by digital marketing."
