Paul Burrell has said that Meghan Markle is more than prepared to enter the royal family thanks to her acting career.
Princess Diana’s former royal butler appeared on Good Morning Britain on Monday to discuss the wedding and how much Princess Diana would have loved the newly appointed Duchess of Sussex.
The 51-year-old told Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid on the ITV daytime show that the former Suits actress, who also starred in 14 films, was a ‘good person to enter the royal family’ and be by Prince Harry’s side.
‘She served her apprenticeship in Hollywood on that stage and now she entered the world stage and she has joined the cast of the biggest soap opera in the world,’ he said.
Burrell had been pictured outside Windsor Castle on the day of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding and had gushed that their nuptials made ‘everyone feel like they were invited’.

Paul gushed over Prince Harry and Meghan, saying that he believed the former actress is well prepared for royal life
Asked by Piers what Diana would have thought about Harry’s new wife, Paul added: ‘She would love her, she is all of the things the royal family are frightened of mixed race, she is American, a divorcee. And that’s everything we have to embrace to move forward.’
He said: ‘There will be ripples in the royal pond and things will happen you know they will. I think she is steady and solid and a good person to enter the royal family.’
Paul added that the wedding was ‘refreshing and diverse and everything that the couple wanted and exactly what we need’.
Paul was also joined on GMB by Chief executive of the Diana Award Tessy Ojo, Diana award recipient Ryan Hick.
Tessy said that she was able to enjoy a brief chat with the new bride at the afternoon reception on Saturday.
‘At the reception it was such a wonderful.. It was surreal, everyone was mingling they had their moment on stage and they came down to meet with everyone,’ she said.
‘It was a great opportunity to just say hello.
‘I said to her we had ten young people on the grounds, they worship and adore you and I would love to do so much more with you, and she said “fantastic that’s what I’m here for bring it on”.’

Reality star Paul Burrell also spoke about Reverend Michael Curry’s much-talked about passionate sermon in the chapel on a Australian radio show.
‘He was a little bit bonkers but actually what he said was really true and real,’ Paul said, causing hosts Kyle Sandilands and Jackie ‘O’ Henderson to burst out laughing.
Paul’s interview comes after he was pictured at a private area of Windsor close to where Harry and Meghan would wed hours later.
Dressed in a smart grey wedding suit and pink tie, Burrell chatted to a security official.

Earlier this month, Burrell said that Diana will be at the wedding of her son Prince Harry ‘in spirit’.
Burrell, who was a servant for the royal family for several years, added that the Princess of Wales would have ‘approved’ of Harry’s fiancee.
The former butler to Diana has been accused of cashing in on his time spent serving the royal family after he released a book in 2003 and appeared on the Australian version of I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!
And he has been back in the spotlight ahead of this week, lining up a serious of media appearances to speak about the pending nuptials.
