Kathy Hilton isn’t the only person upset with Lisa Rinna.
The American Institute for Cancer Research has slammed the “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star, 59, after they claimed she used “the specter of cancer as emotional blackmail to justify airing her grievances.”
During the finale of Season 12, Rinna told her cast mates she would “get sick and get cancer” if she didn’t get the gossip about Hilton’s alleged “breakdown” off her chest.
In response, an AICR spokesperson told TMZ that Rinna was coopting the disease to justify “emotional blackmail.”
They also noted there was “no strong evidence to support stress being the cause of cancer” and that Rinna has “taken a popular (but likely false) concept” and regurgitated it to the show’s millions of viewers.
The gossip in question pertained to Paris Hilton’s mother, who allegedly had a “meltdown” during the cast’s trip to Aspen.
During a dinner at Kyle Richards’ house, Kathy got angry when her fellow co-stars refused to do shots of her tequila, Casa Sol. The next day, Rinna further poured salt in her wounds when she opted to try Kendall Jenner’s 818 Tequila instead.
Later that night, when they had all gone out to a club, Kathy allegedly lost it when the girls didn’t want to conga with her. After leaving the club with Rinna, Kathy allegedly screamed, “I’m going to take down NBC, Bravo. I will take down the show single-handedly. I will f–king ruin you all.”
Rinna also claimed Kathy, 63, threw her glasses on the ground when they got back to the house and began stomping on them, claiming that she “made Kyle.”
“I will destroy Kyle and her family if it’s the last thing I ever do,” Rinna claimed Kathy said.
The incident in question happened during a girls trip to Aspen.
