An online shopper spotted a new bridal headwear trend and shared a snap on Reddit where style-lovers ripped it to shreds.
The bridal accessories were shaped like classic 1990s and 2000s bucket hats and people were confused by the bizarre look – but some loved them.
Mostly, the original poster was put off by the odd mix of classic bridal materials, like silk and beads, with the summer sunhat shape – and commented that at least one version was “out of stock”.
Which means the bizarre look is actually… popular.
Captioning the snap, she said: “Lighthearted 'shaming' here – I know everyone’s style is different.”
Would you wear these hats on your wedding day? Tell us in the comments…
The hats, from an unidentified seller, cost upwards of $225 (£161), reported Yahoo.
And, the Reddit users in the comments did not hold back on criticising the hats.
One person joked: “These belong in a pop music video from the early 2000s.”
“Maybe Blossom is getting hitched,” added another.
While a third noted: "If I saw this being sold at a bridal shop I'd think it was being used as a front for drug smuggling or money laundering.”
And a fourth added that the streetwear-cum-bridalwear hat would have been all the rage at celeb weddings 20 years ago.
She said: “I’m legit surprised Britney didn’t wear this to marry Kevin Federline.”
However, some of the commenters were fans of the hats.

One wrote: “I could see it with a thin sheath dress or even a slip style dress. Could also be cute with a tea length A-line or circle skirt."
“A little sundress at a beach wedding,” was the recommended styling by another.
While a third added: “I think Solange [Knowles] could make it work!"
However, everyone noted the extreme price.
"The thing to be shamed here is actually paying those prices,” said a poster.
"Ridiculous price," added another.
