Twix Top bars are now back on sale at Tesco as popular chocolate bar returns to shops

The flat versions of the popular caramel-chocolate bars were a hit in the early 2000s and are now back on sale for just 25p each – less than half the price of an normal Twix.

The bars, also known as Twix Bisc, first returned to shelves at budget retailer Home Bargains in July after being discontinued for 13 years.

They went on sale for just 19p each, but they're no longer listed on Home Bargains' website.

But now they are available in multipacks of ten for the first time.

Instead of two chocolate-caramel biscuit fingers, a Twix Top is one flat bar which has a biscuit base, a layer of oozing caramel topped with a milk chocolate coating.

If your watching your weight but are having a sweet craving then these is the better option to get your Twix fix.

Each bar contains 107 calories compared to 251 calories in one packet of the normal bars.

In the early 2000s, you could also get M&M versions of the Top bars but sadly we've not spotted these back on shelves.

Twix isn't the only brand launching quirky versions of its iconic bars.

Mars has just launched a mousse and cake-filled Milk Snacks bar which has to be kept in the fridge.

Meanwhile chocolate lovers are petitioning to bring back Galaxy Truffles to Celebrations tubs.
