Stars sauntered down the red carpet at the Met Gala Monday night but few did it with as much panache as UCLA gymnast Nia Dennis, who kicked off the night with a routine right on the museum’s iconic steps.

After jumping into view in a form-fitting blue outfit Nia, 22,posed and flipped her hair before getting into the real action.

In the blink of an eye, she was hurtling through the air, executing several impressive flips. And, from my untrained eye (unless you count my multiple viewings of Netflix’s Cheer) appears to land a double back handspring, all set to music from the Brooklyn United Marching Band.
