Woman uses can of Coke to clean toilet – and shares stomach-churning result
A woman was praised as she showed off a cleaning hack which got her toilet sparkling clean.
The lady revealed how you can clean limescale off a loo using a can of full fat Coca-Cola.
And although people were impressed with the clever trick, many were horrified with the snaps she shared as she showed off her hard work.
The lady posted in a Facebook group to thank fellow members for suggesting using cola to rid her toilet of dirt and limescale.
She said it worked a treat and hardly required any work.
The woman said she simply left the fizzy drink in the toilet for between four and five hours to work its magic.
When she came back, the limescale didn’t even need any scrubbing to come off.
After the successful clean, the lady proudly showed off her sparkling white toilet, which was free of any grime or limescale.
However, she left some people mortified as she shared a picture of her holding the limescale with her bare hands.
Many were repulsed by the faecal-looking limescale that had built up in her basin.
The grim photo left many group members asking what she was actually holding.
The woman quickly realised that many people thought she might not have been holding limescale but something else rather nasty, and set the record straight.
Editing her original post, she wrote: "The stuff in my hand is the limescale that has come off in the toilet.
"It didn't bother me not wearing gloves, it's my own toilet."
She added: "If it was a public toilet then yes of course I would wear gloves, and I scrubbed my hands afterwards."
Many praised how effectively the cleaning hack worked.
One exclaimed: “Coke is also brilliant for removing rust! Which is why I never drink it!”
Another added: “What, Coke? Wow. What a result.”

However, the hack left others worried, as one person wrote: “Makes you wonder what it does to your body.”
Another cleaning hack which grabbed headlines this week was a clever trick which got some "unsaveable" taps and a sink sparkling clean.
Professional cleaner Victoria Gregory said she used, a 2p, Vikal, Pink stuff paste, Fabuloua stainless steel and a lot of "hard work" to get the items, which were covered in dirt and limescale, clean again.
