  • CHELSEA have rejected an Besiktas’ approach for Michy Batshuayi, according to reports.

The Belgian has been out of favour under new boss Frank Lampard having been left out of the squad for all three of the Blues' Premier League games this season.

But Fanatik claim Chelsea still want to keep the Belgian striker in their squad for this season.

Batshuayi recently revealed he wants to stay and fight for his place at Stamford Bridge, having had loan spells at Borussia Dortmund, Valencia and Crystal Palace since he signed for the Blues.

  • OUSMANE DEMBELE has ramped up talk of a potential swap deal with Paris Saint-Germain for Neymar after removing “Barcelona” from his Instagram.

The La Liga champions are prepared to offer the French forward in return for their former player as they make a desperate attempt to land him before Monday's deadline.

  • FORMER Leeds and Preston striker Jermaine Beckford has officially announced his retirement from football.

The 35-year-old, who has been at cash-strapped Bury since 2017, also enjoyeda brief spell in the Premier League with Everton before joining Leicester and Bolton.

He wrote on Instagram: Now, as many of you may know, my journey as a professional footballer has unfortunately come to an end.

“The operations I’ve had over the last couple of years have gotten the better of me.

“Football has given me all and more than I could’ve ever dreamed of and for all those that I have had the privilege of meeting and sharing any and all moments with, I will be eternally grateful!”

  • MARCOS ROJO might have the brakes put on his Old Trafford exit after Luke Shaw picked up an injury.

The Argentine defender was likely to be making a move before the European transfer window closes.

According to The Guardian, Monaco and AC Milan were leading the chase for Rojo, who can play centre-half or left-back.

But Shaw hobbled off during United's despairing 2-1 home defeat to Crystal Palace at the weekend.

And that could mean Rojo is needed as back-up, with Ashley Young likely to fill in for Shaw.

  • PAUL POGBA'S brother Mathias has once again fuelled transfer speculation that his World Cup winning sibling could join Real Madrid.

Speaking to Spanish outlet AS, he said: 'Everyone knows my brother would be great for Real Madrid and Zidane.

“It's Real Madrid and Manchester United who need to talk.”

When pressed on whether Pogba could still seal a move to Los Blancos before the European window closes on Monday, Mathias remained coy on the subject.

He added: “I don't know, I'm not inside the Bernabéu. In football you never know…

“I don't know what to say… Zidane has always spoken highly of my brother, it's an honour. Another thing is that they listen to him.'”
