  • CONOR McGREGOR'S team-mate and friend Dillon Danis has called out YouTuber Jake Paul.

The Bellator MMA fighter called out Paul to fight on November 9 – the same night Logan Paul rematches KSI in a pro fight.

Danis said: “November 9th Staples Center sign the contract b**** boy.”

  • TYSON FURY “almost feels Mexican'” after revealing he will fight for the WBC “Mayan Belt” against Otto Wallin.

The Gypsy King faces the unbeaten Swedish southpaw on September 14 in Las Vegas – with his rematch against heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder set for February.

Ahead of the Sin City showdown Fury, 30, revealed he will fight for the WBC Mayan Belt – a title created for certain high profile fights.

Mexican superstar Saul “Canelo” Alvarez won the Mayan belt against Daniel Jacobs on May 4, when he also added the IBF crown to his WBA and WBC middleweight titles.

The WBC explained the belt was a “unique masterpiece which symbolically represents the eighteen centuries of Mayan Culture in the Year of the Mayans.”

Another Mayan belt was set to be issued for Canelo’s proposed return this month, though the 28-year-old failed to find an opponent.

Instead the middleweight will return at the end of the year, with WBO light-heavyweight champion Sergey Kovalev in line to face the Mexican.

Meaning Fury will be the next man to fight for the Mayan Belt.

He said: “Big thanks to @wbcboxing for selecting me to fight for there (sic their) prestigious maya belt, massive honour for me, I almost feel Mexican.

WBC President Mauricio Sulaiman said: “The Mayan belt is not a championship but a mere trophy and recognition to the winner of the fight.”

  • EDDIE HEARN revealed it was his idea for KSI and Logan Paul to turn professional for the rematch.

Hearn told World Boxing News: “Thirteen months ago when the first fight took place I smirked and pondered how embarrassing it would be to stage this event in a 20,000 seater arena.

“What I saw was a phenomenon. A sold out arena, over one million PPV buys but more importantly an energy of a new audience to the sport of boxing.

“When I was asked to be involved in the rematch it got me excited but I had some requests to help integrate the two audiences.

“I requested that both fighters turn professional. That they undergo the same medicals that any other fighter would.

“I asked that the fighters lose the headguards and use 10oz gloves. If we are going to do this then let’s do it properly.

“Both men obliged and now they prepare for war on November 9. This event will be huge. It will have a World championship card beneath an event that will create a hype for boxing not seen in the US for a long time.

“Staples Center will be sold out. A new audience will join our great sport. Tune in live on DAZN.”
