  • BLUES KEPA LOOK OUT

Chelsea scouts have identified Nick Pope as a possible replacement for under-fire goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga.

The Spaniard has been heavily criticised lately, with fans questioning the record £71.6million fee paid to sign him from Athletic Bilbao in summer 2018.

As a result, Chelsea are monitoring a number of goalkeeping targets with Nick Pope reportedly one they are keeping tabs on.

Lampard admitted after the Blues' 2-2 draw with Arsenal that certain aspects of Kepa's game could be improved on.

  • PARANAENSE ACTIVITY 2

Update: French side Lyon have reached an agreement for the signature of Brazilian midfielder Bruno Guimaraes.

Lyon are still to agree terms with the player but appear to have overcome Athletico Paranaense's desire to retain some of the player's economic rights by including a sell-on percentage clause in the €25million deal.

The news means Chelsea and Arsenal look set to miss out on the promising 22-year-old.

  • PARANAENSE ACTIVITY

Chelsea have joined Arsenal in the race for Athletico Paranaense midfielder Bruno Guimaraes.

Reports in Brazil say the Blues as well as Benfica and French side Lyon are showing an interest in the 22-year-old.

The player broke his silence on rumours of a €20million move this week.

He said: “What I asked my agents was that the move was good for me and for Athletico Paranaense.

“I know that clubs are in talks… it's difficult to choose. They're all great teams.”

  • POSSIBLE AB-SENCE

Frank Lampard last night insisted Chelsea have the squad to deal with Tammy Abraham's absence.

Abraham suffered an ankle injury scare in Chelsea's 2-2 draw with Arsenal last night after sliding into an advertising hoarding under challenge from Rob Holding.

The severity of the injury is unknown but Lampard is confident the Blues can cope if the 22-year-old is ruled out for several weeks.

“I hope he's not [out for several weeks],” he said. “But if he is then yes, we do have the players.”

  • JADON CAN GO?

Borussia Dortmund are making preparations for in-demand Jadon Sancho's departure.

Sancho has been heavily linked with a move away from Germany in the summer, with Chelsea rumoured to be his preferred destination.

And it looks like the Bundesliga club are resigned to losing the 19-year-old as they begin the search for his replacement.

Gremio's Everton, 23, who has previously been linked with Premier League sides Arsenal and – would you believe it – Everton, is one of the names on their radar.
