  • MANCHESTER UNITED new boy Daniel James is “proud” to have become the world's most expensive mascot.

The £15million Wales winger posted a cheeky chap of himself joining the matchday kids in the front row – rather than his team-mates at the back – in a squad photo for the 1-0 friendly win at Kristiansund.

Some of the schoolboy mascots in the line-up can be seen gazing up at the colossus in their ranks.

And certainly James has made a giant leap in his career this summer after swapping mid-table Championship side Swansea for Premier League big boys United.

The 21-year-old tweeted a four-picture compilation of his mascot antics with the words: “Proud moment to walk out with the team yesterday as the club mascot ??”

The Juventus forward has been offered in a swap deal for Romelu Lukaku but expects an eye-watering £350,000-a-week salary.

Juve have told Dybala he will not be first choice this season — and are happy for him to go.

Pogba had to take a 25 per cent cut on his £300,000-a-week deal after United missed out on the Champions League.

Rooney told ESPN FC: “I think Harry's a good player and over the last few years he's improved as a player.

“He's gotten better, and he's been a main player for Leicester City, but also for England.

“I think he'd be a good signing if they can get him.”

Repubblica claims the Uruguay international could be heading to the San Siro this summer as Inter prepare to give up on Romelu Lukaku, 26.

Manchester United are refusing to budge on his £75million price-tag.

And Inter can only afford to increase their original £55m offer to £65m.

That has opened the door for Antonio Conte to move for Cavani, 32.

The former Napoli star is reportedly open to leaving the Parc des Princes this summer.
