  • FORMER Arsenal midfielder Kelechi Nwakali has revealed that the Gunners have a buy-back option om the player.

    Unai Emery allowed the 21-year-old to sign for Spanish side Huesca in the summer, and Nwakali has claimed he still has hopes of returning.

    Speaking to ScoreNIgeria, he said: “Arsenal are my dream club.

    “I have joined Huesca so as to get enough playing time and be back on track [with my career].

    “One thing is sure – it’s not over yet for me at Arsenal because there’s a buy-back option in my contract as well.

    “At the end of the contract, it will be whether I’m going back to Arsenal or moving on from there.”

  • LYON midfielder Jeff Reine-Adelaide has claimed it was the right decision leaving Arsenal last year.

    The French youth international joined Angers last summer, before making a big-money move to Lyon.

    Speaking to L'Equipe, he said: “I was young [17 years old] when I arrived at Arsenal and it was a little complicated. There was a lot of competition and I had to learn.

    “I wanted to go somewhere else to get playing time and it turns out that it was a good choice, considering where I am.

    “I've moved forward since returning to France. I started from almost nothing again because I had a hard time.

    “In England, I played almost no professional matches. If you look at my career, I'm basically just starting it – it really started a year and a half ago. Now, I blossom when I'm on the pitch.

    “This summer, I was especially happy to see that many clubs were asking for me, including Monaco, who played in the Champions League not so long ago. But I thought it was better to sign with Lyon. I feel ready to succeed at this club, which challenges for titles in all competitions.”

  • FORMER Chelsea boss Claudio Ranieri is reportedly in the running to become the Guinea coach.

    According to Feguifoot, the 67-year-old is one of 17 coaches to be on the shortlist after 87 people applied for the job.

    They claim he is scheduled to be interviewed by the Guinea Football Federation on Thursday.

    The Spanish shot-stopper has just one year left on his current deal at Old Trafford.

    SunSport exclusively revealed that De Gea has told friends he is willing to snub Man Utd's latest contract offer.

    The United keeper has stalled on the £350,000-a-week deal on the table.
