UNITED have reportedly been told to pay £430million for Real Madrid superstar Raphael Varane.
The Star claims Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is desperate for a new centre-back this summer.
And he may be tempted to splash the cash on a world-class defender to bolster United’s faltering backline.
However, United will apparently have to meet his enormous £430m release clause for Real to even consider parting ways.

OLE GUNNAR SOLSKJAER has pleaded with Manchester United chief Ed Woodward to “speed up” the signing of Sporting Lisbon star Bruno Fernandes, according to reports.

EVERYBODY seems to be in agreement that Paul Pogba should leave Manchester United… except Ed Woodward.
The World Cup winner has already declared that he wants a new challenge, and is said to have called Maurizio Sarri to tempt the former Chelsea boss to take him to Juventus.
And Red Devils team-mates want Pogba gone to avoid any further distractions for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's rebuilding project.
The Man Utd boss is also said to have told the board he is happy for Pogba to be sold to the highest bidder.
But it remains to be seen whether Woodward will countenance a sale of United's most marketable player.
One man who will be staying at the club for the time being is Marcus Rashford, after Manchester United decided to trigger a 12-month contract extension.
The club are hopeful that this will buy them some time for a new deal to be agreed.
Finally, the Red Devils have renewed hope in their pursuit of Christian Eriksen.
The Dane has already packed up his house ahead of a likely departure from Spurs, but is ready to look at a move to Old Trafford again after a deal with Real Madrid fell through.
