A 1-0 win over play-off hopefuls Lincoln City sealed the deal for John Coleman's team at the Wham Stadium.
Jordan Clark’s ninth goal of the season fired Accrington to their first ever Football League title.
Promotion was clinched a fortnight ago with a home win over Yeovil Town but this result – and the attendance – was the icing on the cake.
Clark pounced in the 35th minute for his ninth goal of the season after good work by Sean McConville.
And the result could have been even more comfortable after captain Seamus Connelly won a penalty before the break.
But the usually reliable Billy Kee who, with 26 goals is the League Two's top scorer, saw his spot kick saved.
The result, though, meant that Stanley maintained their six-point gap over second placed Luton with one game left.
BRECHIN PITY Brechin City relegated after becoming first Scottish senior side in 126 years to go winless all season
They haven't yet been beaten at the Wham Stadium in 2018 in 12 games with 11 wins along the way.
The previous highest gate at the Wham Stadium was 4,386 for the Division Two game with Stevenage in May, 2016.
Coleman, meanwhile, has had his say on Luton Town manager Nathan Jones’ claim that the Hatters are the best team in League Two.
Jones made the comments after his side secured promotion with a 1-1 draw at Carlisle United last weekend.
But Coleman said: “He has got every right to think that and he’s got valid points, they do play entertaining football, they do score goals, they have won a lot of games.
“It depends on what you measure success by. I have often thought we have been one of the better teams in the league in years when we haven’t even finished in the play-offs.
