Arsenal to ‘battle Atletico Madrid for new goalkeeper’
Arsenal are set to go head-to-head with Atletico Madrid again – but this time in the transfer market.
The Gunners are reportedly hoping to beat the Spanish side to the signing of Bayer Leverkusen goalkeeper Bernd Leno.
Bild in Germany report that Leno could leave the Bundesliga side this summer and use his buyout clause of just £17.5million to do so.
Arsenal are allegedly interested in his signature alongside Atletico and Serie A giants Napoli.
However, Leverkusen’s Sports Director Rudi Voller claimed: "We have a very good relationship with Bernd Leno and want to focus on our goals together."
