ARSENAL icon Ian Wright had an unlikely hero to thank for finding his stolen car – after it was recovered by a Tottenham-supporting policeman.

The 54-year-old reported his motor missing on Tuesday night, but had his it safely returned after the Spurs fan put aside bitter rivalries.

He said: "Car got nicked tonight and got found by a Tottenham fan policeman… thank you so much."

Before then uploading a photo of himself and six policemen with the caption: "The lads."

Wright was often the scourge of Spurs during his days with Arsene Wenger's men – netting four times in the North London derby.

While he also netted against Tottenham in the latter stages of his career for West Ham in a  2-1 win at White Hart Lane during the 1998/99 season.

Only last month Wright fumed after learning around 500 of his mementos were being auctioned off in the US for £7million.
