ARSENAL have reportedly made contact with Lyon star Nabil Fekir.
But the Gunners need to sell Mesut Ozil before they can afford a move for the French World Cup winner.
L’Equipe claims Unai Emery’s side have been in touch with Fekir over a summer switch to the Emirates.
Emery knows the player well after spending two years managing Lyon’s rivals Paris Saint-Germain.
And he feels Fekir is the man to take Arsenal back into the top four despite making a £40million bid for Crystal Palace's Wilfried Zaha.
The versatile forward has entered the final year of his Lyon contract.
And there are many clubs said to be interested in securing his signature.
It’s said that Fekir is available for just £30m, nearly half of what he was going for last summer.
Liverpool could be tempted to reignite their interest after pulling out of a deal for Fekir in 2018.
While Premier League champions Manchester City have been linked with making an offer.
It’s understood that Fekir wants to leave Lyon, but he is open to moving to any of Europe’s top leagues.
However, Arsenal will first need to offload top earner Ozil, who has been tipped for the exit after failing to impress Emery.
A teammate of his who could also be leaving the French giants is Memphis Depay, who could be set to make a controversial switch to Liverpool after playing for arch-enemies Manchester United.
