Chelsea to cut Michy Batshuayi's Valencia loan short but have offered him to Prem rival

The Belgian striker is on loan at Valencia but has struggled to hit the heights of his performances for Borussia Dortmund last season.

According to Belgian newspaper HLN, Batshuayi's time in Spain could come to an early end with Chelsea considering cutting the deal short.

And the Blues have already offered the striker they signed two years ago from Marseille for £30million  to Crystal Palace.

Roy Hodgson is in need of a goal-scoring striker at Selhurst Park, and would hope Batshuayi can rediscover the form that saw him hit the net 24 times last season.

But there has also been interest from across the continent.

Monaco, Roma and AC Milan have all registered an interest in the 25-year-old as he looks to become available.

Maurizio Sarri might consider giving him another opportunity at Stamford Bridge first, though.

Chelsea are on the hunt for a striker whose goals can propel them towards title contention.

Bournemouth's Callum Wilson is a January target that Sarri's assistant Gianfranco Zola admitted was "of interest" to the club.

Chelsea, meanwhile, take on Leicester at Stamford Bridge today as they aim to maintain the three-point gap to fifth-place Arsenal.
