Conor McGregor and Khabib Nurmagomedov punishment deadline revealed

Conor McGregor and Khabib Nurmagomedov will discover their fate by the end of November following the ugly scenes at UFC 229.

The Irishman was forced to tap out in the fourth round of the clash at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on Saturday night.

However, Nurmagomedov’s victory was marred by the chaos that ensued, with the Russian jumping out of the Octagon to attack Dillon Danis, while McGregor was punched by Nurmagomedov’s stablemates Zubaira Tukhugov and Islam Makhachev.

NSAC will finalise disciplinary proceedings against the two fighters by the end of next month after filing complaints them both.

"We will be filing against Conor McGregor and Khabib Nurmagomedov," NSAC chairman Anthony Marnell told ESPN’s Brett Okamoto.

“Because we withheld one purse, we will have to move expeditiously to a complaint and hearing.

"We have held 100 per cent of one of the fighter’s money. Temporary suspensions will be out shortly, and we’re shooting for a final hearing date in November."
