Cristiano Ronaldo viciously taken out in Juventus training – but reveals he is 'focused' ahead of Atletico Madrid clash

The Juventus star, 34, was spotted getting ready for the last-16 first-leg in the Spanish capital, but was wiped out by team-mate Leonardo Spinazzola.

Ronaldo suffered a scare after the heavy tackle as he rubbed his clearly-sore leg during today's session but otherwise looked to be in fine mood ahead of the Champions League clash.

The former Real Madrid star took to Twitter to share a snap of himself training, simply captioned: "Focused."

Ronaldo scored his 21st goal of the season in Juventus' 3-0 thumping of Frosinone last Friday – before being rested for tomorrow night's monster clash.

And he – along with his Turin team-mates – looked to be in high spirits ahead of the game.

Despite taking a worrying tumble during the session, Ronaldo looked in fine form and will be hoping for a positive showing.

Football legend Luis Figo certainly believes in the Portuguese star too, calling him "the best" player who can help Juve lift the Champions League title.

Figo claimed: “I’m sure he can [win the trophy] because he’s one of the best.

"He’s showing that in the domestic league they don't have an opponent in Italy and I think they are one of the favourites.

“They play against Atletico Madrid, it's always very tough because they are always very intensive and have excellent motivation as they could play the final back home.

"It will be a nice two games to watch.”

Figo also reckons Ronaldo is nowhere near the end of his career either, saying: "He’s young! These days the people take care of themselves very well.

“My generation or before my generation you probably finished earlier but now you can play until 36 easily.

“There are much more games now and, of course, you have to take care of yourself if you want to play until you're 36 or 37.”
