Ex-WWE and now Ring of Honor star Cody Rhodes reveals wife Brandi needs surgery after breaking collarbone

The stunning grappler, who is married to former WWE superstar Cody Rhodes, was wrestling in Japan when she broke two of her clavicles.

Brandi, 34, was working for the Stardom promotion over in the Far East when the accident occurred.

But amazingly, the double-tough beauty refused to let the setback stop her from competing as she bravely performed in two more matches despite her pain.

And Cody has now offered an update on his partner’s condition via Twitter.

He said: “Just left the hospital. Long story short…Brandi Rhodes went to Japan and wrestled 4 matches, 2 with a broken clavicle. 2 separate fractures.

“She’ll need surgery due the bone poking into the muscle.”

He also shared a gnarly looking x-ray shot of the damage.

Brandi originally announced that she was injured over the weekend after completing her bookings for Stardom promotion.

She wrote: “I’ll admit my first thought was ‘time to go home’. However, my second thought was, ‘how can I fight with one (left) arm?’ I figured it out and competed in 2 more tag matches w/ Oedo Tai. I love wrestling.”

Brandi, like Cody, began her wrestling career in WWE and began working as a ring announcer under the ring name Eden Stiles.

She left the company in 2011 but returned in November 2013 in her former role.

She went onto become a regular announcer on SmackDown but she was granted her release from WWE in May 2016, just days after Cody had requested his.

Since then the duo, who married in September 2013, have been huge hits around the globe on the independent circuit.

They are currently two of the biggest names in the Ring of Honor promotion.
