Felipe Anderson transfer to West Ham gathering pace

West Ham are edging closer to the signing of Felipe Anderson from Lazio.

The midfielder is the subject of advanced talks between the two clubs, who are working to negotiate a fee.

Anderson, 25, has previously been on the radar of Manchester United and Chelsea but the Hammers are working hard to try and get a deal done.

But they will have to break their transfer record for the second time this summer to get it over the line, having already spent £21.9million on defender Issa Diop.

Anderson is still yet to agree personal terms with West Ham.

The 25-year-old has been playing in Europe since 2013 – when he moved to Lazio from Santos – and has one solitary international cap for Brazil.

West Ham have already landed defenders Diop and Ryan Fredericks, goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski and midfielder Jack Wilshere to their squad since Manuel Pellegrini took over as manager.

Andriy Yarmolenko has also been linked in a £17.5million move – just a year after costing Borussia Dortmund £23million.
