Fiery Lakers pair ejected from final preseason game

Lance Stephenson and Michael Beasley were ejected from the Los Angeles Lakers' final preseason game Friday night, renewing speculation of how they will affect the team.

Both players, in their first year with the Lakers, are considered fiery, tough and potentially disruptive.

LeBron James did not play Friday but appeared to enjoy himself — especially after Stephenson was ejected in the fourth quarter of Lakers’ 119-105 victory against the Golden State Warriors at the SAP Center in San Jose.

James could be seen laughing and apparently engaging in playful banter with Golden State’s players after officials reviewed video and ejected Stephenson.

Stephenson, fouled hard by Quinn Cook as he drove toward the basket, flung his fist toward the back of Cook’s head. He missed, but officials still tossed him from the game.

As he headed for the locker room, Stephenson raised his arms over his head in celebratory fashion and slapped hands with two fans.
