Fulham to take action after Aboubakar Kamara subject to vile racist abuse over penalty miss
The Frenchman refused to give the ball to designated taker Aleksandar Mitrovic in Saturday's 1-0 win over Huddersfield Town, then saw his effort saved.
Sick trolls on Instagram posted monkey and banana emojis and called Kamara a “f****** black” in disgusting online posts.
A Fulham spokesperson said: “We are aware that numerous hurtful comments have been posted on Aboubakar Kamara’s social media account.
“As a club that prides itself on our respect and civility, we condemn anyone associated with this repulsive activity.
“The club will provide all necessary support to Aboubakar and take the strongest possible action against those responsible.”
Some Fulham supporters booed Kamara after his penalty bust-up.
Furious boss Claudio Ranieri also claimed the forward “disrespected” his manager, team-mates, fans and club.
The Italian said: "It is not possible to explain. He did not respect me, his teammates, the club, the crowd.
"He wants to shoot and I speak a little with him.
"Mitrovic is the penalty taker, but he thought he was the man. He did not apologise.
"It was impossible to speak with this man. He doesn’t understand the reason. It’s the first time in my life."
But it is unclear if the offending posts are from genuine Fulham fans, with many supporters hitting out at the online abuse.
