GERVONTA DAVIS wrecked Rolly Romero with another devastating left hand.
The undefeated 27-year-old sensation made a cagey start to the New York clash.
But the Baltimore southpaw unleashed a vicious sixth-round counter hook that floored his foe and got him saved by the referee.
The tattooed Floyd Mayweather protege went into his last contracted fight with the ring legend as his promoter, threatening to strike out on his own.
And he showed exactly how thrilling a free agent he could be by biding his time and savaging Romero in the middle of the bout.
Mayweather was a glaring absence from ringside, signalling that their master-student relationship might really be over this time.

But he insisted that Davis remains a part of their TMT promotional stable, despite the KO artist painting a very different picture.

Davis was even shook with a big right hand in the fifth when Romero threatened a huge upset.
